The Big London Night Walk

To celebrate 20 years of The Big Issue and raise funds for homeless people, this after-dark event aims to get 1,000 participants walking 25km through London. There will be live music performances at refreshment stops along the route, including at Leadenhall Market, Conway Hall and the Roundhouse. The Big Issue founder John Bird and the magazine's vendors will be answering questions at information points as well. The central London meeting point and route will be disclosed the night before the event.

DANCE UMBRELLA: Merce Circus

The Merce Cunningham Dance Company takes up residence at Stratford Circus for a weekend, giving audiences a chance to interact with Cunningham's work through films and performances taking place around the building. There will also be an opportunity to try out and perform one of Cunningham's works, 'Field Dances' (1963). Saturday afternoon is a family afternoon with workshops aimed at children aged 6+ accompanied by an adult.
